Minimally invasive surgery is an extremely dynamic area of medical evolution. Thriving from a purely diagnostic to a major operative procedure, MIS has become a preferred surgical approach for a variety of diseases, either benign or malignant, in all fields of medical disciplines, including gynecology. The increasing complexity of the interventions has led to significant demands on the surgeon’s experience, equipment, and technological advancements. To achieve our goal of ‘Primum Non Nocere’, the current developments mainly focus on reducing access-related trauma, initiating user-friendly instruments, obtaining realistic image quality, minimizing fatigue during operation, while ensuring patient safety.
