A word from the President
Good health is the ultimate goal that we all share. Modern improvements in medical treatment, nutrition and living conditions have resulted in remarkably long life spans for people. Recently, quality-of-life issues, such as maintaining youth and health, have come to the fore front of health discussions, including our core probiotics, that contribute to the joy of health.
Health begins in the intestines
Based on our belief that health can be created through beneficial bacteria in the intestines. We continue to provide probiotic products of the highest quality through research and development of these bacteria.
Development of a new obstetrics drug for the first time in 16 years in Japan.
While the number of newborns continues to decrease every year, the percentage of babies born significantly underweight is on the rise. In our desire to counter this problem, we spent twelve intensive years developing a new drug, "Magsent Injection 100 mL" - a tocolytic agent for contractions for threatened premature deliveries - which went on sale in June 2006
Contribution to food safety.
We also support the production of farm and aquaculture animals by helping to ensure the manufacture safe feed and drugs in the livestock industry.
