🌾 วันพืชมงคล (The Royal Ploughing Ceremony) 🌾
วันพืชมงคลประจำปี 2569 หรือ วันพระราชพิธีจรดพระนังคัลแรกนาขวัญ ตรงกับวันพุธที่ 13 พฤษภาคม 2569 ซึ่งถือเป็นวันหยุดราชการประจำปี โดยเป็นการประกอบพิธีสำคัญเพื่อเสริมสิริมงคลแก่เกษตรกรและเริ่มต้นฤดูกาลเพาะปลูกอย่างเป็นทางการ ณ มณฑลพิธีท้องสนามหลวง
The Royal Ploughing Ceremony Day for the year 2026 (B.E. 2569), also known as the Royal Ploughing Ceremony (Raek Na Khwan Day), falls on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. It is observed as an official public holiday in Thailand. This significant ceremony is conducted to bring auspiciousness to farmers and to formally mark the beginning of the agricultural planting season. The event takes place at the ceremonial ground of Sanam Luang in Bangkok.
🌾 วันพืชมงคลจรดพระนังคัลแรกนาขวัญ เป็นพระราชพิธีสำคัญของไทยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับภาคการเกษตร ซึ่งถือเป็นรากฐานของประเทศ โดยมีความสำคัญ ดังนี้
🌱 สร้างขวัญและกำลังใจให้เกษตรกร
เกษตรกรถือเป็นกำลังหลักของประเทศ วันพืชมงคลจึงเป็นการส่งเสริมขวัญกำลังใจให้เกษตรกรเริ่มฤดูกาลเพาะปลูกอย่างมั่นใจ
🌾 เป็นสัญลักษณ์ของการเริ่มต้นฤดูการทำนา
ถือเป็นฤกษ์ดีในการเริ่มเพาะปลูก โดยเฉพาะการทำนาข้าว
🙏 เชื่อมโยงความเชื่อทางศาสนาและพิธีกรรมโบราณ
เป็นการผสมผสานระหว่างพิธีพราหมณ์และพุทธศาสนา เพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคลแก่พืชผลและประเทศชาติ

เน้นย้ำว่าการเกษตรยังเป็นหัวใจของสังคมไทย
🏛️ที่มาของวันพืชมงคล
วันพืชมงคลมีที่มาจากพิธี “แรกนาขวัญ” ซึ่งเป็นพิธีเก่าแก่สืบทอดมาตั้งแต่สมัยโบราณ เริ่มมีมาตั้งแต่สมัยสุโขทัย และได้รับการสืบทอดต่อในสมัยอยุธยาและรัตนโกสินทร์
👑 ในอดีต พระมหากษัตริย์จะเสด็จประกอบพิธีด้วยพระองค์เอง
📜 ต่อมาในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 4 ได้ทรงฟื้นฟูพิธีให้มีแบบแผนชัดเจน
📅 ปัจจุบันกำหนดจัดในเดือนพฤษภาคมของทุกปี โดยถือเป็น วันสำคัญระดับชาติด้านการเกษตร
🔹พิธีการในวันพืชมงคล
พิธีวันพืชมงคลประกอบด้วย 2 ส่วนหลัก ได้แก่
1 พิธีพืชมงคล (พิธีทางศาสนา) เป็นพิธีทางพระพุทธศาสนา มีพระสงฆ์เจริญพระพุทธมนต์เพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคล จัดขึ้น ณ พระอุโบสถวัดพระศรีรัตนศาสดาราม
2 พิธีแรกนาขวัญ (พิธีพราหมณ์) จัดขึ้นที่ ท้องสนามหลวง มีผู้ทำหน้าที่สำคัญคือ👉 พระยาแรกนา (ผู้ไถนา) ใช้ พระโคศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ในการไถนา
🌟 ขั้นตอนสำคัญในพิธีแรกนาขวัญ
การเสี่ยงทายผ้านุ่งของพระยาแรกนา มีความยาวต่างกัน (4, 5, หรือ 6 คืบ)
ใช้ทำนายปริมาณน้ำฝนในปีนั้น
การไถหว่าน พระยาแรกนาไถนาและหว่านเมล็ดข้าวเพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคล
การเสี่ยงทายของพระโค พระโคจะเลือกกินอาหารหรือสิ่งของ 7 อย่าง เช่นข้าว น้ำ หญ้า ถั่ว งา เหล้า ฯลฯ
👉 สิ่งที่พระโคเลือกกินจะใช้ทำนายผลผลิต เช่น กินข้าวหรือข้าวโพด → คาดว่าผลผลิตธัญญาหารจะดี กินน้ำ → น้ำจะอุดมสมบูรณ์

It is considered an auspicious time to start cultivation, especially rice farming.

The ceremony combines Buddhist and Brahmin traditions, symbolizing blessings, prosperity, and harmony with nature.

🏛️Origin of the Royal Ploughing Ceremony
The Royal Ploughing Ceremony has ancient origins and has been practiced for many centuries in Thailand.
🏛️ It dates back to the Sukhothai period, and the tradition continued through the Ayutthaya and Rattanakosin eras.
👑 In ancient times, the King personally presided over the ceremony to show his responsibility for the well-being of his people.
📜 During the reign of King Rama IV (King Mongkut), the ceremony was revived and formalized.
📅 Today, it is held annually in May and is recognized as an important national agricultural event.
🔹Rituals of the Royal Ploughing Ceremony.
The ceremony consists of two main parts:
1. Phuet Mongkhon Ceremony (Buddhist Ritual): Held at Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha). Buddhist monks chant prayers to bless seeds and ensure prosperity. This part focuses on spiritual well-being and good fortune.
2. Raek Na Khwan Ceremony (Brahmin Ritual): Takes place at Sanam Luang in Bangkok. Led by an official known as the Lord of the Ploughing Ceremony (Phra Ya Raek Na). Sacred oxen are used to plough the field ceremonially
🌟 Key Steps in the Ceremony
Prediction of Rainfall (Cloth Selection)
The Lord of the Ploughing Ceremony chooses one of three cloth lengths (4, 5, or 6 cubits)
The selected cloth is used to predict the amount of rainfall for the year
Ploughing and Sowing. The field is ploughed and rice seeds are sown as a symbolic beginning of the farming season
Prediction by Sacred Oxen. The oxen are offered different foods such as rice, corn, beans, grass, water, and alcohol
What they choose to eat is believed to predict agricultural outcomes
Eating grains → good harvest
Drinking water → sufficient rainfall
