Sharath Jois, esteemed Ashtanga Yoga guru and grandson of the legendary K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysuru, has passed away in Virginia, USA. Known for his dedication to the practice, Sharath made a lasting impact on the global yoga community. His teachings and legacy will continue to inspire many.

Today I have friends waking up and celebrating in tears of joy.

I also have many friends who are truly devastated over the last 12 hours.

Both of these groups have extremely strong passionate views and each one has that right. 🇺🇸thank goodness we do!

Some of my very best friends and others that I consider family do not vote the same as I do. But I know despite our different political views we still love each other. I know their hearts and they know mine.

Some of my friends will be boasting and some will be truly terrified. One may not understand the others feelings at all, and that is okay too.

Let’s be kind and honor each other. Let us pray for our country and each other.
