We're excited to announce that we're in the process of opening a new location that will allow us to offer even more expert care and services to our patients.

We can't wait to share more details about our new location soon and look forward to continuing to support your wellness journey.

So here we have a patient with a medial meniscus tear. Few things we focus on here to not only get the patient back to what he loves to do but also keep him strong and resilient in the future:
1. Always load the knee joint when dealing with meniscus issues. They are made of collagen fibers meaning they thrive on compression to heal itself. Passive modalities In early rehab stages is totally fine when dealing with decreased ROM but loading the tissue actively in a progresssive matter will be key.
2. Treat the patient and not the MRI. Even if the MRI presents tears always screen the patient functionally as the root of the pain could be other factors as well
3. Treating the posterior Chain is just as important as the anterior chain as the semi membranous tissue (hamstring) is connected to the meniscus as well.
4. don’t forget the neighboring joints. Hips and ankles needs to be addressed as well as all these joints move together. If one is limited there will be compensation happening along the chain = kinetic chain
5. Be sports/hobby specific and have Fun with rehab!

Why active movements will always be the king of treating pain.
Too many times people ask me why dry needling/stretching/shockwave/ultrasound etc don’t work and the answer is simple: they don’t change the tissue stability or mobility and don’t have any effect on the biomechanics. They basically treat the symptoms and not the root problems.
So remember, motion is lotion 🤗

It’s the weekend! Time to move!
Here we have a little sneak peak of what’s going at the clinic on a daily basis.
-Some deep tissue work of the front delts/bicep due to some stability problems of the shoulder joint as well as some t-spine mobility.
-Correcting a t-spine scoliosis by lengthening the concave side in the c position
-and lastly some hip adjustment with a gentle thrust

Remember, movement is 🔑 to treating pain and it’s what your body thrives on🙌
