Stress comes in many forms, but in the end, you experience it on a biological, cellular level.
You can learn to control it by going gradually into the cold and following your feelings. Within 10 days, you will see that you are very able to control the stress of the cold.
You have to take a shower anyway, right? So, it’s very simple. Just end up cold. A minute or two, tops. And then, if you wish, after the 10 days — once your body has reconditioned itself — you can increase the exposure.
The control you will gain won’t be limited to your body’s response to the cold though. It can be applied to stress in any form, be it heat, emotion, work, frustration with the traffic, relationships, whatever.
Because the cold is merciless but righteous, we can learn from it.
