אז מסתבר שהגיבור האוסטרלי שהכניע את אחד המחבלים שרצחו 12 בני אדם ופצעו עשרות נוספים בטבח בסידני הוא בכלל לא מהקהילה היהודית אלא ערבי מקומי בשם אחמד, בן 43, תושב סידני שעבד בקרבת מקום.
אחמד נפצע מירי במהלך ניטרול המחבל. הוא גיבור אמיתי שהציל חיים רבים ביום הזה, וכמו לפני 800 יום בשבעה באוקטובר שבו היו גיבורים ערבים ישראלים שהצילו חיים של יהודים כמו יוסף אלזיאדנה למשל, כך גם הוא כערבי סיכן חייו והציל יהודים בזמן הטבח.
