Harvest Blessings of Lughnasadh!
Today marks the first of the harvest festivals, celebrated on the Cross-Quarter Day—the midpoint between Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox.
This is a time to honor what we have sown—in our fields, our hearts, and our lives—and to gather what is now ripening. It is also a festival of craft and skill, a time to shape and share the gifts we've cultivated.
The god Lugh (for whom Lughnasadh is named) was a master of many arts: a blacksmith, a poet, a warrior, a craftsman. We honor him with games, baking, sharing, and gratitude.
Whether you call it Lughnasadh, Lammas, or Loaf Mass, may you find joy in the first fruits, strength in your skill, and inspiration in the changing light. This season prepares us for what comes next—as the fields clear and the Hunter’s Moon begins to rise.
I invite you to take a moment of reflection:
🌾 What have you sown this year?
🌾 What are you harvesting now?
🌾 And what will you create with the gifts you’ve gathered?
Blessed be.
