Dear All,

Though I faced an unexpected challenge—hypothermia from KM 41–68—I fought my way to 115 KM (120 KM on my Suunto), holding onto the dream not only for myself but also for the students I set this goal for.

With hypothermia draining my energy, my focus and mental clarity began to fade. Climbing up Grand Col Ferret, I found myself falling asleep while hiking—a dangerous sign. In that condition, I knew it wasn’t safe to continue, so I made the difficult decision to withdraw.

But this is not the end. You will see me pursue this dream until I achieve it. Some may call what happened a failure, but I see it as a powerful learning experience. I’ve never raced an ultra in cold, rain, and snow before—and I learned that timing and layering are critical, something I never face back home in Thailand where the seasons are only “hot and hotter.”

I am determined to return and complete the full loop around Mont Blanc, to arrive back in Chamonix on foot. That day will come. ❤️

For this year, I am deeply grateful to all the donors who cheered me on and supported our students. Together, we raised 26,533.44 THB, and as promised, our anonymous donor matched 25,000 THB. That brings us to 51,533.44 THB. In addition, I personally donated 6,967 THB earlier this month by selling prizes from a previous race. Altogether, we now have 58,500.44 THB—almost enough to support one medical student for a full year (60,000 THB).

Currently, we are supporting three medical students—two from CMU and one from KKU—and we will continue this commitment until they graduate.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in me and in this mission. The journey is not over—together, we will finish it.

Dear All,

Despite the poor weather on race day—with 12 hours of light/moderate rain starting at 6 pm on Friday and even two hours of unexpected snow early Saturday morning—Dr. Morgan gave her very best in her UTMB trail race under such extreme conditions.
With little prior experience running in snow, she battled through mild hypothermia after her clothing proved insufficient. For nearly an hour she shivered intensely, attended by the UTMB staff at refuge de la croix, who advised her to layer up with a fleece under her rainproof jacket.

Although her determination was strong, she felt her body losing strength and considered withdrawing at Refuge Bertone after experiencing dizziness on the uphill climb. Yet, she pressed on—switching from full race pace to a steady hike with many stops to discuss with her coach and family —and covered another 37 km before making the difficult but wise decision to stop at La Fouly, prioritizing safety over sheer stubbornness.

While she did not complete the full 174 km with 9,700 m of vertical gain, her courage, resilience, and commitment truly shine. In the face of harsh weather, she showed remarkable grit—and more importantly, she continues to carry forward the mission supporting the HCMC and Friends for Education Fund, helping medical and high school students pursue their dreams.
