Prok Faa Essentials is a small farm and artisanal essential oil distillery based in Prok Faa village in the hilly north of Chonburi province in Thailand. We grow different aromatic plants, mostly lemongrass, citronella, palmarosa, patchouli. Plants are grown organically, using compost produced on the farm from plant leftovers from the oil extraction, and manure from neighboring farms. We actually use some of our own essential oils and floral waters to control damages from insects. We also used plant leftover from the distillation to cover the soil in order to improve soil fertility and to control weeds (mulch). With modern imported steam-distillation equipment, we distillate plants cultivated on the farm. The steam is generated from a wood fired boiler with wood collected on the farm itself or from neighboring farms. Currently we produce pure natural essential oils and floral waters from the common lemongrass plant used in Thai cooking (takrai baan in Thai); citronella grass (takrai hom in Thai); palmarosa, also called rosha grass. Starting 2019, we also produce patchouli oil in limited quantity. From the essential oil separation remains floral waters. Floral water still contains oil in minute quantities, giving it some of the scent and properties of essential oil. You enjoy. You enjoy fresh, pure, and natural essentials oils and floral waters.
