What cause endometrial hyperplasia and fluid?

Endometrial hyperplasia and fluid are caused by many factors as follows:

1. Caused by the patient themselves. The medication response of each patient is different. Some patients are very sensitive to medication and some are not.

It can be easily compared by receiving the same amount of drug. Those who are sensitive to drug will have more endometrial hyperplasia than those who are less sensitive. This includes fluid accumulation in endometrium gland. When the endometrium become thicker, it will produce fluid.

2. Drug factor: The drug response of each patient is different. Some patients receive oral medication, suppositories, or drugs for external use. These can cause endometrial fluid in patients. So, in this case, the patients need the adjustment of medication type.

3. Caused by endometritis. Then will cause fluid production and inflammatory secretion, causing endometrial fluid.

4. Caused by blocked fallopian tubes or hydrosalpinx, which can also cause endometrial fluid.

Syphilis in pregnant women, how is it dangerous?

Syphilis is a sexually transmitted infection caused by the treponema pallidum bacteria that has a helically coiled shape and has a mean incubation period of 2 – 4 weeks.

There are 2 ways of infections: 1. Transmission from mother to child: the mother can transmit the disease to the unborn child. So, the child will have congenital syphilis. 2. Sexual contact: it can be transmitted from a sexual partner who has the disease.

To prevent the disease, spouses should have a consultation with a doctor and get a blood test to detect syphilis disease before having a child. If the mother is getting pregnant, the mother should go to the hospital for antenatal care as soon as possible to ensure the safety of the baby and the mother.

For children born with congenital syphilis, they should be supervised by a pediatrician from the start to minimize long-term organ dysfunction.

ICSI (Intracytoplasmic S***m Injection)

ICSI (Intracytoplasmic S***m Injection) is an in vitro fertilization procedure with the laboratory technology. Both IVF and ICSI are comprising of similar procedures. But the difference is how s***m will fertilize an egg. In ICSI program, only one best s***m cell will be selected then injected directly into a fully matured egg. Patients will be prescribed some hormonal medications. Stimulating ovaries to produce several eggs. ICSI can make a pleasant fertilization rate. Is ERA TEST needed?

Patients who need ERA TEST are people who have a history of qualified embryo implantation (Patients might have or have not proceeded chromosome testing.) and have not succeeded at least 2 times. These people are considered Recurrent implantation failure: RIF.

It also includes patients who experienced abnormal implantation, despite qualified embryo and endometrium preparation. For this case, we also suggest ERA TEST.

Normally, the perfect time to inject Progesterone to help embryo implantation for women is around 5 days before Blastocyst implantation. However, patients considered RIF might have problem in the time spent in embryo implantation. Therefore, ERA TEST is needed for finding a perfect time to inject Progesterone to help embryo implantation.

There are only 5 – 10% of patients considered RIF. Nevertheless, proceeding ERA TEST could increase the pregnancy rate. The pros and cons of ERA TEST are:

Pros – If you are considered RIF, you wouldn’t waste your embryo 1 – 2 times. Collecting one qualified embryo is hard enough. You wouldn’t waste it.
Cons– High cost (Cell testing in uterus is needed) and embryo transfer has to be postponed for a month. As during ERA TEST, embryo transfer could not be proceeded. It can cause tardiness.
