You might remember Alissa, who joined us last year in Mexico 🇲🇽 for Epidural Stimulation treatment following a C4 complete spinal cord injury. As a quadriplegic, she qualified for the implantation of two stimulators. Alissa’s now back with us for remapping, and we asked her to take us along for a day in her life during her return to Verita Neuro.

Gniewko was born with Optic Nerve Atrophy, a condition that left him legally blind and unresponsive to light. Still, his family never stopped believing in the possibility of something more — of a future where he could see the world around him.

Now, after his fifth journey to Thailand 🇹🇭 for regenerative treatment, that hope is turning into reality. Gniewko can now recognize faces from a distance, see colors, read, write, and — most importantly — he’s becoming more independent.

Elena, a sweet 66-year-old ALS patient from Romania, along with her daughter Andrea, traveled to Thailand for regenerative treatment. Elena has been facing difficulties with speech and swallowing issues, numbness and pain in her right arm, and weakness in her legs. After just 7 days of treatment, Elena has experienced significant improvements.

Andrea shared the inspiring story about meeting one of our ALS patients who’s now living a better quality of life after receiving our treatment twice. This gave Andrea and her sister hope, and they decided to persue the treatment Elena. By the end of the treatment, Andrea was so happy to share the incredible progress Elena had made, highlighting the remarkable improvements she saw throughout the process.

You may remember Makayla, a C3 complete SCI patient from the USA 🇺🇸 who joined us in Thailand 🇹🇭 last year for Epidural Stimulation treatment. At the beginning of summer in 2022, Makayla was playing on a tire swing when the branch of the tree broke and hit her neck, resulting in a spinal cord injury that left her quadriplegic.

A few months ago she and her mom joined us live to talk through their experience, including what it was like having two Epidural Stimulators implanted and the changes she has seen since.

On Friday, 28 March 2025, Bangkok, Thailand experienced the impact of a 7.7 magnitude earthquake. We want to reassure our patients and community that Verita Neuro in Thailand has been fully inspected by safety authorities and cleared for continued operation. Our facilities remain safe, secure, and open as usual.
