Over many years Lotus Medical has helped to raise funds for local people in Thailand to get access to healthcare. A well known member the Phuket community is seriously ill in a Phuket hospital and has been for several days now. Steven Wilson is a well loved part of the local community.

Steven has been in and out of ICU with sepsis and bleeding of the stomach. People in Thailand don't have the same access to healthcare that we have at home and have to pay. Steven's hospital bills are mounting.

Phuket opens on the 1st of July for travel without quarantine for people who have had both vaccinations. The ‘Phuket Sandbox’ as it is called, is Thailand’s trial run at opening the country up again safely and so far, it’s going well.
We are seeing a return of tourists and people wishing to have surgery. Thailand will further open its borders over the coming months. We look forward to welcoming more of you to Thailand over the coming months.
Was there ever a better time for some surgical rejuvenation combined with a holiday!

Phuket opened on the 1st of July for travel without quarantine for people who have had two vaccines. The Phuket Sandbox as it is called is Thailands trial run at opening the country up again safely and so far it is going well.
We are seeing a slow return of tourists and people wishing to have surgery. Thailand will further open it's borders over the coming months. We will look forward to welcoming more of you to Thailand over the coming months.

We have just today learned that Thailand plans to allow people to travel to Thailand without restriction by October.

Airspace is starting to open up again in Thailand. We are now working alongside our medics to enable patients to travel to Thailand again soon for surgery. First and foremost we need to consider the safety of our patients and staff. We we are putting safety measures in place regarding this. We will be updating you all soon with information on safe travel to Thailand.

PHUKET: Phuket International Airport will reopen at midnight tonight following an order issued today by Dr Chula Sukmanop, Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT).

Lotus Medical has put together crowdfunding to help our staff in The Philippines and in Thailand to get through this difficult time. Unfortunately local governments in these countries are not offering any sort of assistance at all. On Thursday, Thailand will move to a high state of alert and therefore there will be complete lockdown to help to control the spread of Coronavirus.

Lotus Medical is committed to the safety of it’s patients, medics and staff. We are therefore putting surgery on hold and our staff are working remotely. We are re-arranging surgery dates from the 15th of July onwards.

You may remember that a few weeks ago we asked for some donations to help a local Thai person who is trying to recuperate after having a spinal infection and being paralysed from the waist down.

As you can see from the video Tha is now able to walk slowly. Further medical treatment and physiotherapy is needed. Tha needs to be able to move more and he also is still waiting for his bowel functions to return to normal for which he also needs medical advice and help.

Please help us to raise money for urgent nusring help for Tha

Lotus Medical has always worked to try give something back to the local community in Thailand. We try to help local Thai people to receive healthcare that they may otherwise not have access to.
Tha was ten days ago diagnosed with an infection in the spinal column. He is now paralysed from the waist down. he has received hospital treatment and the infection is clearing, however, he now needs nursing care at home. He currently cannot walk, bath himself or get the the bathroom. He therefore needs specialist nursing assistance to help to get him through this period of recovery.
We would like to try to help his family by helping with funding to pay for a nurse. If you can help in anyway Tha and his family would be hugely grateful.

These photos show one of our recent clients Krystal from Australia before her breast surgery and five days post surgery. Krystal had breast augmentation combined with lift in Phuket by one of our surgeons who was actually voted as being one of the top three breast surgeons in the world. Just five days post surgery the breasts are still swollen and the implants are still sitting high in the chest wall. When people come to Thailand we provide support by way of a team of nurses. Our nurses meet our clients for all of their appointments, they explain everything that is happening to the client and are there to answer any questions. We give all of our clients a local phone so that they can contact us at anytime throughout their stay. All of our clients say that they just don’t know what they would have done without our support.
