Someone donated me a book?! 📕

Yet again it shows the power of sharing our story with others.

This lovely lady Carol Jones wrote a book about her Sober Journey.

She came across my story online and decided to reach out to me and donate her book which she posted from Australia! 😮

The online sober community is an amazing tool for anyone that is navigating sobriety 💪

Today marks 500 days of complete sobriety!!!

To say I have not had a single drop of alcohol would be a lie. When I was back home in the UK the other week, I picked up my mums glass of wine thinking it was my soda water, took a sip and realised straight away what it was and spat it back into the glass 😅

To say that it has all been rainbows and butterflies would also be a lie. Some days are easier than others. Sometimes the thought of having a glass of wine sounds really appealing, but then I have to play the tape forward and remind myself that it is never gonna be just the one.

Life is definitely not always easy, but learning to deal with it as opposed to escaping it has certainly been empowering and life changing.

The most awesome thing is having the chance to be of service to others and showing others that recovery is 100 percent possible!

I just keep putting one foot in front of the other and taking one day at a time.
