Siriroj’s proud history of excellent health care

Bangkok Hospital Siriroj has come a long way since its establishment in 1982. It was the first private hospital founded by a local Phuketian, Major Doctor Anuroj Thanasiriroj, M.D., and his wife Dr. Siriporn Thanasiriroj, M.D.

Upon completing their medical education in the United States of America, they returned to the island to establish what is now known as Siriroj International Hospital. Their commitment to improve the quality of medical services in Phuket, as well as the continuous improvement of knowledge and skills of medical staff and caregivers, held true for 35 years. Their vision was to develop and provide quality medical-care services to the local and international residents of Phuket and their families.

At present, the hospital has established strong training and quality centers, committed to provide training and support to its medical staff. Staying true to its roots, Siriroj is a hospital that cares by providing warm service to patients and their families. The medical staff are not merely focused on the physical health of patients, but their emotional health as well.
