I read somewhere “instead of continuing bandaids over bullet holes, I would clean and mean my wounds,even if it meant it would hurt for a while before it got better”.
We keep being a part of these toxic cycles because we are hopeful that things will change. But what we need to realise is some things never change and instead of bearing the pain and hurt staying in those cycles we need to walk away and break that pattern to be able to invite love in our life.
