Desde 2022, nia serbisu nu'udar Manorin Feto Potensosial (Líder Feto Emerjente iha Edukasaun) no hetan promosaun ba koordenadora eskola nian iha Juñu 2024. Every morning at 5am, Flaviana de Andrade prepares meals for her four children before riding 7 km with her husband to teach at Basic School ‘EBF 1 Fatubutic’ in Remexio, Aileu.

Inspired by her father, she has dedicated over a decade to education. Since 2022, she’s served as a Manorin Feto Potensiál (Emerging Female Leader in Education) and was promoted to school coordinator in June 2024. A graduate of ICFP in 2009, Flaviana proudly applies her training to teach and mentor others.

Through the Ministry of Education’s ALMA program, she gained leadership skills and confidence. “Before, I only knew how to teach,” she said. “Now, I can lead, plan, and support my colleagues.”

Australia supports educators like Flaviana through the Partnership for Human Development Australia Timor-Leste, working with the Ministry to empower women leaders shaping Timor-Leste’s future.
