If the couple seeking a pregnancy cannot achieve a pregnancy despite regular sexual in*******se for a year, the reason should be investigated by specialist doctors. If the woman is older or the egg reserve is low, this period should start earlier. With the analyzes made for the mother and father candidate, IVF treatment can be started if necessary. The chance of success of IVF treatment varies according to age and egg reserve. In patients under 35 years of age and with good egg reserves, the rate of live birth drops to over 60%, while it decreases to 40% over 35 years of age. This rate does not exceed 20% between the ages of 40-42. Postponement is not recommended, especially if couples who want to delay their baby plans have low egg reserves.

BAŞARI ARTIRAN TEKNİK
Antalya Tüp Bebek Merkezi’nin başarılı gebelik oranı yükseldi. Eskiden embriyolar laboratuvar ortamında 2-3 gün bekletildikten sonra yerleştirilirken, şimdi 5’inci güne kadar bekletiliyor. Bu embriyoların tutunma potansiyeli daha yüksek olduğu gibi, embriyoların içinden en uygunu seçebilme şansı da yükseliyor.
İkinci olarak da tüp bebek yönteminde birtakım ilaçların etkisi ile uyarılan ve doğal yolla 1 yumurta olacakken, 10-15 yumurta oluşan kadının yumurtalığı ve rahim ortamı aşırı hormonun etkisinden arınana kadar bekleniyor. Dondurulan embriyo, anne adayına 1 ay sonra transfer edilerek rahim ve yumurtalıkların normal ortamına dönmesine şans tanınmış oluyor. Antalya Tüp Bebek Merkezi’nin başarı oranı yüzde 15-20 oranında artarken, taze embriyo transferine nazaran yeni doğan bebeklerin kilolarında da 150- 200 gramlık bir artış saptandı.
Elde edilen sonuçlar Amerika’daki alanının saygın yayın organlarından Fertility and Sterility’de yayınlandı. Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’nde yapılan bilimsel kongrede pek çok konuşmacı Antalya Tüp Bebek Merkezi’nin bu makalesine atıfta bulundu. Bilim dünyası artık bu uygulamayı bir trend olarak kabul etmekte. Antalya Tüp Bebek Merkezi açıldıktan ancak 6 yıl sonra 1000 bebek sayısına ulaşılmışken, son 2 yıldır sürdürülen bu uygulama ile yılda ortalama 1000 bebeğe ulaşıldı. Dünyada ve Türkiye’de bu uygulamanın öncülerinden olan Antalya Tüp Bebek Merkezi, artık sadece bu tekniği uyguluyor.

Antalya IVF established in 2000, has from its inception strived to provide its local and international patients with a world-class assisted reproductive technology service. The twins, Özlem and Özgür, were the 1st babies born from IVF treatment at Antalya IVF and were also the 1st from an IVF centre in south-western Turkey. The care and effort provided by all involved to assist in their successful conception were fundamental to the establishment of our fertility treatment philosophy. A philosophy that continues today to guide our clinicians, scientists, and nurses in their practices and approaches in assisting our patient-couples to conceive successfully.
