After a facelift surgery, the recovery process typically takes several weeks. What to Expect During the First Week After a Facelift Surgery

During the first week after your facelift, it’s normal to experience swelling, bruising, and a feeling of tightness in your face and neck. These symptoms will gradually improve day by day.

To support your recovery:
• Keep your head elevated, even while sleeping.
• Apply cold compresses as instructed to reduce swelling.
• Take your prescribed medications regularly.
• Avoid bending over, heavy lifting, or strenuous activity.
• Do not smoke or consume alcohol.
• Keep your incisions clean and dry. Follow wound care instructions closely.
• Attend your scheduled follow-up appointments.

It’s important to rest, eat light and nutritious meals, and stay hydrated. If you experience unusual pain, bleeding, or signs of infection (such as fever or redness), contact our clinic immediately.

What’s the difference between a lower body lift vs. tummy tuck?
