It feels very good to be fit and ready to go home after surgery. Dear Joleen is doing very well and her mum was a wonderful, supporting companion.
One more chat and "exam" from Dr. Namık at the hospital and she is ready to go home to her daughters.
She was extremely pleased with the care from the nurses at the MEDSTAR hospital and with our support.

Dr. Namık attended the 5th Obesity Surgery and Dietetics Congress, organized by the Turkish Obesity Surgery Foundation, held at the Crowne Plaza Ankara between May 15-17, 2026.

This congress offers a rich platform, where the knowledge and experience gained from thousands of surgical procedures and patient follow-ups will be shared in a scientific environment.

A perfect opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience with colleagues in the field of obesity surgery, dieticians and all healthcare professionals.

Our patients come from every corner of the world. Dear Rachel came all the way from New Zealand to undergo a gastric sleeve surgery with us.

First she enjoyed a few days holiday time in Antalya with her husband and parents and after extensive pre-ops she was qualified for surgery. She had a relatively smooth time at the hospital and recovery went very well.

After a last check with Dr. Namık it was time to go to the airport for the journey back home to the other side of the world.

We wish our dear patient Rachel a good weight loss journey and look forward to receiving her updates. We follow you up on a regular basis and expect you to update us in case of any changes, problems, but also good news😉.
