MODERN SURGICAL APPROACH IN ESKİŞEHİR

A successful minimally invasive lumbar disc herniation surgery was performed at Özel Eskişehir Anadolu Hospital by Op. Dr. Mehmet Taşkoparan using the UBE (Unilateral Biportal Endoscopic) technique.

The patient, who was admitted with severe pain, cramping, muscle spasms, and numbness, was diagnosed with a ruptured lumbar disc and underwent surgery. Following the successful operation, the patient recovered quickly and was discharged on foot in less than 24 hours.

Dr. Mehmet Taşkoparan stated that with the UBE method, muscle damage is minimized, resulting in less postoperative pain and a faster recovery process.

“Patients are able to mobilize very quickly after surgery, and hospital stays are significantly shortened. Thanks to small incisions, the risk of infection is also considerably lower,” he added.
