The distractions brought by the digital world make it more challenging for children to focus and learn. Therefore, parents should use technology consciously and help children develop healthy habits. Play and physical activities are essential tools that enhance children’s motivation to learn and contribute to their mental development. Additionally, a supportive family environment can help children overcome attention difficulties. Parents should review their own digital habits and set a good example for their children, as this creates a solid foundation for a successful learning process.

📌What is Malaria?

Malaria is an infectious disease caused by parasites called Plasmodium and transmitted through mosquito bites. It is most commonly spread by female Anopheles mosquitoes. Malaria is prevalent in tropical and subtropical regions, particularly in Africa, Asia, and South America.

Symptoms of Malaria
Malaria symptoms usually appear 7-30 days after an infected mosquito bite. The most common symptoms include:

High fever (Comes and goes in cycles)
- Chills and shivering
- Sweating
- Headache
- Muscle and joint pain
- Nausea and vomiting
- Fatigue and weakness
- In severe cases, loss of consciousness and coma

How is Malaria Transmitted?
- Mosquito Bites: The most common transmission method is through the bite of an infected Anopheles mosquito.
- Blood Transfusion: Malaria can spread through transfusions from an infected person.
- Mother-to-Baby: It can be passed from a mother to her baby during pregnancy.
- Contaminated Needles: Using unsterilized needles can also transmit the disease.

Treatment and Prevention of Malaria
- Treatment: Malaria is treated with antiparasitic drugs. Artemisinin-based combination therapies (ACTs) are among the most effective treatment options.
- Prevention:
- Use mosquito nets, insect repellent sprays, and protective screens to avoid mosquito bites.
- Travelers to malaria-endemic areas should take preventive medication
- Vaccine development is ongoing. In 2021, WHO approved the RTS,S vaccine as a preventive measure.

Meniscus tears occur when the cartilage tissue inside the knee is torn, often as a result of sudden twists, jumps, or trauma. Symptoms may include swelling, pain, restricted movement, and a locking sensation in the knee. Treatment varies depending on the size of the tear; small tears can heal with rest, ice application, and physical therapy, while larger tears may require surgical intervention.

Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries, commonly seen in athletes, are serious conditions that cause instability in the knee. These injuries typically require surgical repair and long-term rehabilitation. Early intervention in both meniscus tears and ligament injuries accelerates recovery and prevents long-term complications.

•Lying Down:Use circular motions in a clockwise direction to examine the breasts and armpits.

•Warning Signs to Watch For:

📌One of the most significant risk factors in the development of skin cancer is excessive exposure to sunlight. This risk becomes even greater during the summer months. Between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM, when the sun’s rays hit the Earth at a steep angle, the harmful effects of UV radiation on the skin reach their peak. Therefore, avoiding direct sun exposure during these hours is crucial for protecting your skin health. Spending time in shaded areas, wearing wide-brimmed hats, and using sunscreen with a high protection factor are some of the key measures you can take. Remember to protect your skin by managing sun exposure wisely.

Low blood pressure or hypotension typically occurs when there is insufficient blood flow, and it can cause symptoms such as dizziness, fainting, and weakness. Hypotension is rarely a serious health issue, but it can occur in conditions such as blood loss, infections, heart disease, and hormonal imbalances.

Regular measurement and monitoring of blood pressure, adopting a healthy lifestyle, exercising regularly, following a healthy diet, avoiding smoking, and reducing stress can help keep blood pressure within normal levels. Therefore, regularly measuring and controlling blood pressure is crucial for maintaining a healthy life and preventing serious health problems.
