Bakirkoy Hospital started operating in 2000 as the first hospital of Acibadem Hospitals Group on the European side of Istanbul. In 2008, 2009 and 2017, Bak?rköy Hospital renewed the infrastructure and technology of its inpatient floors and operating rooms in order to meet the high demand and to provide extra comfortable care for patients.

Working on contract with many insurance types, Cardiology, Emergency, Cardiovascular Surgery and Oncology services are offered on contract with the SSI. Acibadem Bakirkoy Hospital is one of the greatest advanced cardiac health centres in Turkey as it has the state-of-the-art structure in cardiology and cardiovascular surgery and specialist doctors well-known in their field. The hospital is a standard centre particularly in paediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery.

The hospital is in the 17.500 m² of covered area with facilities like bed capacity of 102, 27 intensive care beds, 7 operation rooms and a helicopter pad for emergency transfers. This is because of the intelligent building control system, which can offer control access from 6.500 points, all kind of problems are rectified immediately. The hospital has a specially designed delivery room which is called a Labor Delivery Recovery Postpartum (LDRP) that can be converted to fully-equipped delivery rooms.

Neonatology and paediatric specialists, as well as paediatric surgeons and neonatal nurses in all branches, provide services to newborns with risk and severe diseases in the neonatal intensive care unit.
