🩺 Mart ayı, Kolon Kanseri Farkındalık Ayı.
🪜Bu ay vesilesiyle bir kez daha hatırlatmak isterim ki kolon kanserinde erken tanı, tedavi sürecinin seyrini değiştirebilen en önemli basamaklardan biridir.
📸 Bugün de ekip olarak bunun çok kıymetli bir örneğini yaşadık.
🔴 Kolon kanseri açısından erken evrede saptanan geniş çaplı bir kolon polipini, ESD (Endoskopik Submukozal Diseksiyon) yöntemiyle başarıyla çıkardık. ESD, erken evredeki gastrointestinal kanserlerin ve büyük poliplerin açık cerrahiye gerek kalmadan, endoskopik olarak çıkarılmasını sağlayan ileri bir girişimsel endoskopi yöntemidir.
Uygun hastalarda bu teknik sayesinde lezyon tek parça halinde çıkarılabilir, organ korunabilir ve hastalar daha konforlu bir iyileşme süreci geçirebilir. Cerrahi kesi gerektirmemesi, günlük yaşama dönüş sürecini kısaltması ve özellikle erken evrede yakalanan lezyonlarda etkili bir seçenek sunması ESD’nin en önemli avantajları arasında yer alır. ✅
Elbette bu tür işlemler yalnızca teknik bilgiyle değil, güçlü bir ekip uyumuyla mümkün olur. Memorial Bahçelievler’in özverili anestezi ekibi sayesinde hastamızın işlemi güvenli ve konforlu şekilde tamamlandı. Deneyimli hemşire arkadaşlarımızın katkısı da bu sürecin en kıymetli parçalarından biriydi. 🥰

🩺 March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.
🪜 On this occasion, I would like to remind once again that early detection is one of the most important steps that can change the course of treatment in colorectal cancer.
📸 Today, as a team, we experienced a very valuable example of this.
🔴 A large colon polyp detected at an early stage with respect to colorectal cancer was successfully removed using the ESD (Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection) technique.
ESD is an advanced interventional endoscopic method that allows early-stage gastrointestinal cancers and large polyps to be removed endoscopically without the need for open surgery.
In suitable patients, this technique enables the lesion to be removed in one piece, helps preserve the organ, and allows patients to experience a more comfortable recovery process.
Not requiring surgical incisions, enabling a quicker return to daily life, and offering an effective option especially for lesions detected at an early stage are among the most important advantages of ESD. ✅
Of course, procedures like this are possible not only through technical expertise but also through strong teamwork. Thanks to the dedicated anesthesia team of Memorial Bahçelievler, our patient’s procedure was completed safely and comfortably. The contribution of our experienced nursing team was also one of the most valuable parts of this process. 🥰
⭕️ Once again, during Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, we are reminded that screening and early detection at the right time can truly change lives.
