INTRODUCTION
The beginnings of Thai massage was considered a spiritual practice closely connected with the teachings of the Buddha.
Thai massage is also related to the Indian Ayurvedic medicine and the knowledge about the healing powers of herbs and minerals.
It is also based in the concept of invisible energy lines called SEN (10 main lines) running throughout the body, the background and theory lies in yoga philosophy.
On this sen lines there are powerful acupressure points. Massaging these points makes it possible to treat certain diseases or to relieve pain.
This practice is very similar to Chinese acupuncture and Shiatsu from Japan.
These 10 sen lines are sufficient to conduct practical treatment for the whole body and it's internal organs.
Traditional Thai massage aims to increase the person's well-being, balance energies and unblock the trapped ones while promoting better health, relaxation and releasing pain.
There are no limits on how often a person can be given a massage, it could be daily if preferred. Once or twice a week is very beneficial and recommended.
