As Istanbul Faculty of Medicine SSRC (Student Science Research Club) we are proud to announce that the applications for passive attendance to the 28th IMSSC, which is the oldest international student congress, are now open.

Our congress will take place at University of Istanbul - Beyazit Campuse Cemil Bilsel Auditorium on the 19th, 20th, 21st of April.

Our congress, which will be enriched by the contributions of many of our very dear professors, will include the following 4 sessions:

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME
20th of April, Saturday:
•Surgical Sciences Session
•Cardio oncology Session

21st of April, Sunday
•İmmunology Session
•Different Career Pathways in Medicine Session

With its entertaining SOCIAL PROGRAMME:

19th of April, Fri: You will get to enjoy dishes from the Turkish, Ottoman and World cuisine while enjoying the precious scenery of Bosporus at our Gala Dinner

20th of April, Sat: You will get to socialize and have fun while enjoying the Bosporus during our Boat Party

21st of April, Sun: You will be able to enrich your mind with our interesting and intriguing workshops.

We are happy to introduce another one of our workshops: Sports Medicine! ⛹🏻🎾🏈
This workshop will be an amazing occasion for those who are interested in the field. The participants are going to get the chance to learn about physical performance equipments which athletes use to evaluate their performance & form. And you will get to experiment those equipments yourselves as well! We are looking forward to seeing you all at our workshops! 🤩

The pathology workshop is going to be a perfect occasion for those, who are interested in pathology. As a discipline, pathology plays a critical role in diagnosing process of many diseases and our event gives us the chance to experience this field with our honorable lecturers in the laboratory. During the event, we will have several samples from macroscopy and microscopy. The participants will be able to inspect biopsy samples while they can scan them in cellular dimension with the microscope. Let’s be a part of this pathology adventure!

In this workshop, we will be learning about common splinting and casting techniques with our beloved professors. We will be sharing our other workshops soon as well. Our gala dinner will be held on April 19, 2024 at Istanbul University Baltalimanı Social Facilities, a historical building.
Before the congress begins, we are going to have pleasent time with our menu consisting of the most distinguished tastes of Turkish, Ottoman and World cuisines, accompanied by the unique and insatiable Bosphorus.
You will experience Turkish hospitality as well the magnificant city Istanbul !

The second oral presentation will receive 150€

The third oral presentation will receive 125€


*Poster Presentation*

The best poster presentation will receive 100€

The second poster presentation will receive 75€

The third poster presentation will receive 50€

In addition, the first place winner will be given a gift of Underwood Pathology, the second place will be given a gift of Gartner Histology, and the third place will be given a gift of Pathophysiology of Diseases!
