👏 Dear colleagues,
Today, we look back with pride and gratitude at the moment when, 12 years ago, in Monte Carlo, the foundations of GHTC were laid. It has been a long and challenging history, but every step taken has been one of learning, sacrifice, and perseverance. This is the foundation of any success story, and today we can celebrate the results of the hard work of those who, with dedication, ambition, and the dream of building something great, made GHTC what it is today.

Congratulations and thanks to those who laid the first stone of this extraordinary journey! It was their vision and courage, their desire to build something truly valuable, that made this possible.

We, the ones here today, are responsible for maintaining and growing what they started. We must carry this project forward with the same passion, but also with an eye toward the future, towards evolution, and new achievements. The road is never easy, but success never comes without hard work and persistence.

Let’s continue to believe in the power of GHTC and dedicate ourselves fully to this mission. Together, we can take great steps forward, building a solid foundation for the future of this project.

GHTC REPRESENTED AT EMITT
At the “Path to Positive Tourism with Destination Leaders” panel held at the EMITT Fair, Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, the 7th Term President of the Global Healthcare Travel Council (GHTC) and a TRNC Member of Parliament, emphasized that the TRNC is rapidly emerging in health tourism. Savaşan stated that in the post-pandemic era—where health, safety, and hygiene have become top priorities—the TRNC is swiftly approaching its regional leadership goals in selected fields thanks to its strategic location, over 300 days of sunshine, and developed infrastructure.

TRNC RANKS AMONG THE COUNTRIES THAT MANAGED THE PANDEMIC BEST…
Savaşan noted that the TRNC is among the countries that managed the pandemic most effectively, and that its low mortality rate has increased its appeal in health tourism. He also highlighted that, through wellness programs, medical treatment services, digital marketing strategies, and international collaborations, the country’s health tourism potential has become competitive on an international scale.

GHTC LEADS THE DEVELOPMENT OF GLOBAL HEALTH TOURISM…
In his speech, Dr. Ahmet Savaşan further detailed the vision of the Global Healthcare Travel Council (GHTC). He emphasized that the GHTC is committed to advancing global health tourism by enhancing information and experience sharing among industry stakeholders and improving the quality of health services. Concluding his remarks, Savaşan pointed out that the GHTC will play a pivotal role in developing patient-oriented solutions and in building an inclusive, sustainable health tourism ecosystem worldwide.
