Rare Disease Day represents not only rare musculoskeletal tumors but also congenital deformities, mega skeletal defects, and complex bone and soft tissue deficiencies that profoundly affect patients throughout their lives. In my clinical practice, the primary goal extends beyond eliminating disease; it is to restore anatomical integrity and functional capacity through advanced limb reconstruction. Biological reconstruction techniques, endoprosthetic solutions, bone transport methods, deformity correction strategies, and patient-specific surgical planning now make it possible to reconstruct limbs that were once considered unsalvageable. Raising awareness of rare conditions, strengthening multidisciplinary collaboration, and advancing reconstructive surgical expertise are essential not only to treat disease but also to restore mobility, independence, and quality of life—ultimately transforming loss into function and uncertainty into hope. .internationaljointcenter .ijc
