The laparoscopic hernia surgery courses, organized through the collaboration of Listo Academy (Germany) and Acıbadem Kozyatağı Hospital, and conducted by Prof. Dr. Metin Ertem, Listo Academy’s instructor representing Turkey, are broadcast online and interactively. For the past four years, these courses have been carried out twice a year for educational purposes, directly from the operating rooms of Acıbadem Kozyatağı Hospital. This provides surgeons from around the world with the opportunity to follow the techniques and innovations applied in laparoscopic hernia surgery.

This year, on September 11 and 16, 45 participants watched the surgeries live and had their questions answered interactively in real time. In the course held on September 16, anatomist Prof. Dr. Marko Konschake from Austria joined online and contributed to the program.

Abdominal wall hernias, particularly laparoscopic and robotic surgical repairs, are gaining importance due to both technological advancements and progress in surgical repair techniques. These courses are followed with great interest not only by surgeons in our country but also by those from the Middle East and neighboring countries.
