NaturPirat is working in Istanbul since June 2013. (former known under the name NaturKid)
The feeling of free space, green areas and wilderness in the city of Istanbul has become less and less over the years. In most parts of the city it is completely missing. We believe that being in touch with nature and being able to create our own spaces outside is essential for the development of children. Being in touch with nature is also necessary for the physical and mental health of everyone. If we are in contact with nature, it helps us build a strong well-being within ourselves. It also helps us build stronger relationships with every human-being and creature around us. Spending time in nature, or working with natural materials, means exchanging energy and building strength; it also significantly increases our focus. Our aim is to:
- inspire, by using natural materials
- be creative in groups and learn from each-other
- build a network and create a useful exchange of information
- get to know different languages, cultures and traditions in a playful way
- develop joy while creating something together
- provide continuity
