AID - Alliance of International Doctors

The Alliance of International Doctors (AID) is an international organization that aimed to reach people in need and support.

AID is a medical non-governmental humanitarian organization based in Istanbul and working globally to help people in need regardless of their race, nationality, religion or political affiliation. Since 2011, AID brings medical assistance to alleviate suffering of the people in poverty-stricken and disaster-affected areas and aims to reach out to everyone who is deprived of health care.

1) Emergecy Medical Relief

Short-term medical humanitarian activities including deployment of medical teams, medicine and hygiene items in response to disasters and emergencies.

2) Permanent and Preventive Health Services

Projects to support the infrastructure in the regions lacking essential health services and preventative health services to prevent outbreaks.

3) Health Education

Building capacity of the local health personnel through trainings and seminars.

4) Psychosocial Support

Psychosocial support programs to help the disaster victims, orphan children and their families cope with the trauma and the loss they had experienced and to reduce the negative impacts of these experiences on them.

We provided medical examinations and medication support to 116 people in Sudan! 🩺

We continue our humanitarian aid efforts in areas where access to healthcare is limited.

In the study we conducted in Garissa region, cataract treatment of 200 patients was successfully performed. Cataracts continue to be an important public health problem in Kenya. Our planned health activities will continue in the field.

Within the scope of the cataract operations carried out by our alliance, a total of 3,193 people in 7 countries were re-lit in November.

In November, a total of 3,193 people said hello to their health by regaining light from darkness.

In November, AID provided direct health services to 5,890 people as part of our health activities in Gaza.

Uninterrupted services were provided in many branches including general polyclinic, dental health, gynaecology, pharmacy, laboratory and analyses services.

With the awareness of our humanitarian responsibility, we continue to strengthen access to health services with determination.

Ramadan brings hope and light to their eyes! 🤍🌙

We have been performing cataract surgeries at our Idlib Eye Center in Syria since 2021. So far, we have restored the sight of more than 15,000 Cataract patients in Syria alone. Now, in collaboration with eiakw, we will help 125 more patients regain their vision throughout Ramadan.

Every patient who regains their sight is a light of hope for all of us!

We attended Riyadh's fourth forum, 'Shaping the Future of Humanitarian Intervention'.
