Turkiye’s cat and dog food exports have grown approximately 27 times in the last 10 years. The export target of the sector, which reached a volume of 122 million dollars in 2023, is 150 million dollars by the end of 2024.
In the article on the official website of the Aegean Exporters’ Association (EIB), the opinions of Muhammet Öztürk, Chairman of the Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters’ Association, are included. According to Öztürk, 60 percent of Turkiye’s exports are made from the Aegean region. “New investors continue to enter the sector and it is predicted that we will reach the export level of 500 million dollars in the 5-year term.”
Emphasizing that we made the most exports to Malaysia in 2023 with 15.5 million dollars, Öztürk states that the country with the highest increase in exports proportionally was Saudi Arabia, with an increase of 304%.
