The eye area is where the first signs of aging appear and it significantly impacts our overall expression. In today’s procedure, we addressed both the excess skin on the upper eyelids and corrected the drooping brow position using the “direct brow lift” technique.

But what exactly do these procedures achieve? Here is a quick summary:

1. Upper Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

This procedure involves the removal of sagging skin and herniated fat pads from the upper eyelids. Our goal is not only aesthetic enhancement but also to eliminate the “heaviness” that often restricts the visual field.

2. Brow Lift Techniques

The position of the eyebrows is the key factor in determining whether a gaze looks “tired” or “sad.” Here are the primary techniques we use:

• Direct Brow Lift: Involves a small incision made just above the brow hair to physically lift and reposition it. It provides highly effective and long-lasting results, especially for patients with significant brow ptosis (drooping).

• Endoscopic Brow Lift: A minimally invasive procedure performed through small incisions hidden within the hairline using a camera.

• Temporal (Temple) Lift: Focuses on lifting the outer part of the brow to create a more “cat-eye” or “foxy” look.

• Thread Lift: A non-surgical option that uses specialized threads to lift the brow. It offers a quick recovery, though its longevity is more limited compared to surgical options.
