Fillers don’t suit every feature — that much is certain. But if there’s 1 place they truly belong, it’s the lips. Within natural limits, of course. Overfilled, balloon-like lips? Never a fan. The goal should always be to simulate what nature intended.

Cristina, my patient from Italy 🇮🇹, had undergone rhinoplasty seven years ago and was not satisfied with the result. She came to me for revision surgery, and I told her that if it was feasible, I could perform the revision using a closed approach. Revision rhinoplasty typically requires an open technique, but in selected cases a closed approach can also be possible—especially in patients whose primary surgery was performed closed. In Cristina’s case, this was feasible, and we carried out a closed revision rhinoplasty.

I perform many different types of rhinoplasty, and each patient comes with their own unique expectations. Some request a more curved and lifted nose, while others prefer a more natural-looking result. Although my personal aesthetic philosophy leans toward natural outcomes, I always aim to achieve a result that is as close as possible to what my patient desires.
My patient Shizrah came from the UK 🇬🇧, and it has been more than 8 months since her surgery. Since she happened to be visiting Türkiye again, she stopped by to see me. I’m not always able to meet my international patients in person and take follow-up photos, so whenever I get that opportunity, it genuinely makes me happy. Both Shizrah and I are very satisfied with the outcome. I believe she looks more beautiful without losing the ethnic character of her face—and she still looks like herself.
One of the more challenging issues in rhinoplasty, especially in this type of nose, is the tendency of large dorsal humps to create a wider appearance after surgery. The nose resembles a triangular prism, and when you remove the tip of a triangle, it becomes less pointed and a flatter surface forms. In real-life rhinoplasty, removing a prominent hump can similarly leave behind a flatter and wider dorsum. For this reason, trying to make a large hu**ed nose “too small” may actually lead to a wider, less desirable look from the front. A surgeon’s experience and skill are crucial to finding the right balance point—so that the patient achieves optimal improvement from both the front and the side views.

2004 yılında Adana Fen Lisesi'ndeki eğitimini tamamlayarak Cerrahpaşa Tıp Fakültesi'ne kaydoldu. 2010 yılı Tıpta Uzmanlık Sınavı'nda Türkiye 38.si olarak ilk tercihinde yer alan Cerrahpaşa Kulak Burun Boğaz ve Baş Boyun Cerrahisi bölümünde eğitim almaya hak kazandı.

Harvard Üniversitesi bünyesinde yer alan Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary ve House Ear Clinic St. Vincent Hospital'de bulundu. Estetik ve fonksiyonel burun cerrahisi, kulak cerrahisi, kanser cerrahisi ve guatr ameliyatları üzerine eğildi. Acıbadem Üniversitesi Atakent Hastanesi bünyesinde çalışmalarını sürdürmektedir.
