The Vision of BorderLife is to provide accurate, timely, cost effective diagnostic laboratory services to Physicians, Clinicians, Health Institutions and the general public. It is common knowledge that 75 – 80% of all medical decisions, diagnosis and treatment are based on laboratory test results. It is vitally important and sometimes critical that laboratory test results are accurate, reliable and returned within an acceptable time frame to effect the appropriate treatment. We will ensure maximum accuracy by employing the best lab quality assurance systems and policies, by standardization and recording of lab statistics, employing and training technical staff who keep abreast of and actually deploy cutting edge Lab IT systems. We at BorderLife will provide services in supportive and complementary partnership with Physicians, working to ensure and always improve the standard of healthcare they deliver to their clients.

Early detection saves lives. Breast cancer often shows no symptoms in its early stages, but regular self-exams and clinical screenings can catch it before it progresses. If you notice any new or persistent change, trust it — and get checked.

Common signs to watch for (any type of breast cancer):

A new lump or thickening in the breast or armpit

Change in breast size, shape, or symmetry

Dimpling, puckering, or changes in skin texture (peau d’orange)

Ni**le changes — inversion, retraction, or crusting

Unusual ni**le discharge (clear, bloody, or persistent)

Redness, warmth, or swelling of the breast (can be a sign of inflammatory breast cancer)

Persistent breast or ni**le pain that’s new or unusual

Some cancers — like inflammatory breast cancer or Paget’s disease of the ni**le — can look and feel different. That’s why any new, unexplained, or lasting change deserves a professional review.

How to Do a Breast Self-Exam at Home

Early detection saves lives and it starts with knowing your body.
A breast self-exam is a simple, monthly practice that helps you notice any changes early. Here’s how to do it:

💗 Stand in front of a mirror with your shoulders straight and hands on your hips. Check for any visible changes: dimpling, swelling, redness, or changes in ni**le position.
💗 Lift both arms and look for the same changes from a different angle.
💗 Gently look for any ni**le discharge (watery, milky, yellow, or blood).
💗 Use your fingertips to feel in small circular motions from collarbone to ribcage, and armpit to cleavage. Cover the entire area.
💗 Many women prefer doing this step in the shower, where the skin is slippery. Repeat the same circular motions.

Remember:
Most lumps are not cancerous, but it’s important to get any new changes checked by your doctor.
Consistency matters. Make your self-exam part of your monthly routine.
