Today, the Rotary Club of Port of Spain West had the pleasure of welcoming Safiyyah Islam, a passionate advocate for health and wellness, to speak with us!
Safiyyah is a Registered Dietitian and a proud graduate of the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, where she earned her BSc in Human Nutrition and Dietetics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Institutional Community Nutrition and Dietetics. 👩🏽‍⚕️🥗
Currently serving on the Board of Directors at the Diabetes Association of Trinidad and Tobago, Safiyyah brings invaluable expertise and dedication to her role as a Nutritionist—working tirelessly to raise awareness and support healthier lifestyles across our nation. 🇹🇹💚
Her insights on sustainable wellness, community health, and the impact of proper nutrition were both eye-opening and inspiring. Thank you, Safiyyah, for empowering us to make better choices for our bodies and our communities! 🙌🏽✨

Another group of our 6th Form interns successfully completed their dental rotation at The Dental Lounge today 🦷✨. During this session, they gained valuable knowledge about oral health practices, dental procedures, and innovative treatments such as Invisalign.

👏 Our 2025 interns successfully completed their Tobago outreaches at Port Mall, Scarborough and Penny Savers, Bon Accord yesterday!

💙 They provided free blood sugar & blood pressure testing, shared vital diabetes education, and showcased their group projects — the Diabetic Foot Monofilament and Diabetic Eye Screening Awareness Card.

🙏 Special thanks to Tatil and Tatil Life for being present at both events and for their continued sponsorship of this internship programme.
