I understand that life is so busy and most parents can only fit in check ups and sometimes even sick visits, when you have time or when they are able to get off of work. I'm here to help Mon-Saturday.
I'm available to help Mon-Fri 9-4pm, Saturday 9-2pm. So I can see after school and Saturdays if you need me.

🧸Check ups for children are quite important to determine if they are growing and developing well as the earlier delays are noted, the earlier intervention can be done and the better the outcome!

🧸Vaccines help prevent diseases so you don't have to worry all the time. So, you don't have to worry about Tetanus if your child gets cut by a rusty piece of wire or get measles when you take your kids to Disney world for vacation.

It was a lovely afternoon with friends and Paediatric colleagues @ the Nestle Nutrition Summit 2025.
Dr Jose Saavedra, Paediatric Gastroenterologist and Associate Professor at John's Hopkins University, gave a very informative lecture on the importance of the gut microbiota on child growth and neurocognitive development.
There is great positive impact of breastfeeding in providing all the probiotics and prebiotics that a child needs not only in aiding digestion but it significantly impacts the immune system, metabolism, and even neurological development.
My advice to all new mothers- Breastfeeding is Best 😊. For those moms that are struggling, you can get help from the The Breastfeeding Association of Trinidad and Tobago.
Perseverance is key, it took me and my daughter a month to truly master the art of breastfeeding! It may be natural, but asking for help can ease the burden.

I am Dr. Cherisse Latchman-Gosine, a wife, mother and Paediatrician. I have been a doctor for 10 years with a wealth of knowledge and expertise to share.
