Jones' Animal Clinic and Hospital Ltd. Jones' Animal Clinic and Hospital was established in 1949 and has a long tradition of professionally catering to the needs of your pets. R.

Our History, Our story:

Jones Animal Clinic was established in August 1948 by Dr. W. Jones, a retired US veterinary captain from World War II. He was a graduate of Washington State University. Dr Jones was posted to Trinidad and fell in love with the country. Within a short time Jones Animal Clinic was extremely successful as Dr Jones and his wife Jane dedicated a major part of their lives to the development of the clinic. At the age of 72, Dr Jones decided to retire and return to the US. Dr. Azizul Rahaman and his wife Zorina Rahaman purchased the clinic in September 1982. They continue to operate the original clinic as it was, with some minor modifications. The business was incorporated in 1995 as Jones Animal Clinic and Hospital. On June 26th 1998 another branch was opened at Diego Martin. The two clinics are currently in operation.

Pet Warning: Methaldehyde in Snail Bait

Dear Valued Clients,
Methaldehyde is a common ingredient found in many snail baits. It is known to be extremely toxic to dogs (even in small amounts). Ingesting Methaldehyde can lead to severe poisoning and potentially fatal consequences for your furry companions. Unfortunately, there is no antidote.

We love your pets and want to ensure their safety. Here are some precautions when using snail bait or similar products in your outdoor spaces:

1. Choose Pet- Friendly Alternatives:
Consider using pet-friendly snail and slug control methods that do not contain methaldehyde. There are numerous alternatives available to help protect your plants without endangering your pets.

2. Secure Storage:
Store any products containing methaldehyde out of your pet’s reach. Make sure they are in a sealed container.

3. Regularly Check Your Outdoor Area:
Inspect for any signs of spilled or scattered bait. If present, clean it up promptly to prevent your pets from coming into contact with it.

4. Monitor Your Pets:
Keep a close eye on your dogs when they are outside. If you suspect they have ingested snail bait or are showing any unusual symptoms, contact us immediately.

The safety and wellbeing of your pets are of utmost importance to us. Please take this information seriously and take necessary steps.

If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to provide support and guidance to ensuring the health and happiness of your pets.

Thank you!
