The CARPHA Regional Tourism and Health Program, in conjunction with the Government of Sint Maarten officially launched the St. Maarten Tourism and Health Program on September 11th, 2025, making Sint Maarten the first Dutch Caribbean country to adopt this groundbreaking initiative.

By joining the THP, Sint Maarten is strengthening its commitment to:

*  Prioritising the health security of its people and visitors
* Supporting regional resilience against public health threats
* Safeguarding the long-term sustainability and competitiveness of its tourism sector

We are proud to highlight Dr. Lisa Indar, Executive Director of CARPHA Caribbean Public Health Agency and founder of the Tourism and Health Program (THP), who is featured in the inaugural issue of ‘From the SeaSuite’, the Caribbean Tourism Organization's annual publication dedicated to recognising female leadership across the tourism industry.

Her work has made meaningful contributions to public health and tourism in the region, reinforcing the Caribbean’s standing as a safe and healthy travel destination.
