'Beautiful Minds' believes that human beings are born with the ability to heal themselves. However, we sometimes lose the ability to trust our own instinctual drives. As a result, we feel confused, anxious, depressed and unhappy. 'Beautiful Minds' provides services to help guide you back closer to your goal of ultimate happiness and self actualization. A wide range of Psychological Services, Educational Services as well as Assessments are offered. Workshops for both children and adults, on a wide variety of topics, are offered by a trained and qualified professional. Full Psycho-educational Assessments are available to test for and diagnose an extensive range of challenges including, but not limited to, Specific Learning Disabilities (such as dyslexia), Attention-Deficit-Hyperactive-Disorder (ADHD) and Intellectual Disability. Psychotherapy is offered for adolescents and adults for a number of issues including Anxiety, Depression, Low Self-Esteem, as well as others. "Healing Through Art & Craft" classes are offered for children between the ages of 5 -12 years old. These classes are NOT therapy but instead are geared towards giving children a safe and creative outlet to express themselves through the use of art and craft. Dyslexia is a gift. Register your child now for this FREE Dyslexia seminar courtesy of Atlantic and featuring Double Olympian Andrew Lewis. Guest speakers include Don La Foucade and Vivian Wall. Beneficial skills training will be offered by the Trinidad and Tobago Occupational Therapy Association.

Certificate in Principles of Working with Individuals with Learning Disabilities

The course is divided into three modules: Dyslexia, Dysgraphia & Dyscalculia

This course will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of issues related to various types of learning disabilities and how these affect individuals in their daily lives.

Participants studying this course will consider a range of factors within this subject including safeguarding, positive risk-taking and knowledge of the autism spectrum.

Time: Thursdays (10 weeks): 5:30 pm -8:30 pm

Location: Central

Begins March 1st

Cost: $2500.00
