This first Wednesday of May 2025 is World Maternal Mental Health Day.

It hope to increase awareness and social drive to improve the quality of health care, and mental health care resources available to women.

Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders often go overlooked as new mums and their families often focus on new babies, leaving very little room to start dialogue about mum’s own feelings of being overwhelmed, alone or fearful.

Societal beliefs may also lead new mums to believe that strength lies in “not complaining” and “handling it”.

We aim to bring awareness to that heavy and often unseen emotional toll of new motherhood and the postpartum journey.

Let’s prioritize maternal mental health so that no one continues to suffer in silence.

I saw this and it made me reflect on the way rollercoaster of emotions that encapsulates motherhood- the motherhood experience of those mothers who are doing their best for their families, even when they don't feel that they have the reserve to keep going.

We see you mamas...your hard work and care is so appreciated...always!

April is Caesarean Section Awareness Month!

We use the month of April to provide parents and parents to be with information and education about methods of delivery, answers to questions about Caesarean or C Sections, and information about safe birth and safe birthing practices.

Have you had a C Section or are you planning to have one? Do you know someone who did?

April is CaesareanSection awareness month.A Caesarean Section, or C section, is a surgery in which a baby is delivered through a cut made in the abdomen and uterus. This can be an emergency or a planned procedure.April serves as C section awareness month - and that this is an option to deliver your baby. It is important to have information to make your decision regarding delivery and to have support in what you choose. Most importantly, this month serves to equip parents with support in what they feel is right for their baby. Did you have a C section or are planning to have one? What was your experience?
