Healing isn't linear—and that's okay.
As a therapist, I’ve seen firsthand how messy the healing process can be. It’s not all calm meditation and "aha" moments. Healing is raw, uncomfortable, and full of days where it feels like you’re moving backward instead of forward.
It’s the moments where old wounds resurface, where tears come unexpectedly, and where you question if the process is even working. It’s sitting with feelings you’ve avoided for years, learning to say no, and challenging the beliefs about yourself that you’ve carried for so long.
But here’s the thing: the mess is where the magic happens. Those moments of doubt, discomfort, and struggle are actually signs of growth. Healing asks you to rebuild and reimagine, piece by piece, the version of yourself that deserves the love, care, and peace you’ve been searching for.
So, if you’re in the thick of it right now, give yourself grace. There’s no right way to heal, and there’s no timeline. Progress looks like showing up for yourself, even if it’s messy, imperfect, and hard.
You are doing the work—and that’s a beautiful thing. 💛
