This patient came in complaining of pain when biting. On examination, we found an old amalgam filling and cracks in the tooth. It’s something we see often.

Amalgam fillings leave teeth in a weakened state and over time allow cracks to form. Untreated these could lead to cracks getting larger with time, eventually leading to root canals, tooth fracture or tooth loss.

Using an advanced biomimetic, minimally invasive approach, we removed the crack, placed Ribbond fibres to reinforce the structure, and carefully rebuilt the tooth. No crown needed—just strength and protection where it was truly necessary.

Clinicians Choice CLING 2 Resin optimized temporary cement. Directions - apply a thin layer on the inside of the temp crown and bridge and seat no later than 1:30 min working time cautiously but firmly over the prepared tooth structures. Cling 2 sets in the mouth in 2 minutes , after setting , remove any access material. Do not try the prep area but better to moisten the the area with water. $520+ TT.
