Hibiscus Place This page is a place for information, networking and resources on caring for yourself and caring for older adults who live with and without dementia.

We no longer operate as a therapeutic Adult Day Centre, but this page can offer ideas and inspiration for care of older adults and in particular information about occupational therapy in this area of practice. Hibiscus Place was a purpose-designed, professional Adult Day Centre for Seniors. It was nestled in Petit Valley had been improving the quality of life of older adults with chronic physical

Calling all OTs, future OTs, and international colleagues to view this milestone event that took place this past weekend in sweet Trinidad and Tobago.

😍 https://lnkd.in/e24Vvcd4 What an amazing Pinning Ceremony. Wonderful speeches and awards. It's a joy to see how the Pioneer Class (Class of 2019) has supported the 4th cohort (Class of 2024)! And AAAAllll the CIs and faculty! Well done Kimarah Reefe Programme Director Ag, and Shakila John Fieldwork Coordinator! 🥳🥳🥳👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

And just as amazing a coincidence, the first TTOTA meeting was held 20 years ago today in 2004! (Or maybe the 21st June 🥴) at Vie de France, Maraval, T&T. Current Rituals Maraval 😆 So same weekend anyway, 20 years ago!! My ❤!! You ALL ARE Wonderful Opportunity Torchbearers (OTs)!!

🔥 And finally, I urge you to WATCH and ABSORB the Keynote Address by Dr. Kiara Matthews-Stephen, SLPD, CCC-SLP from 21:00 - 48:00. She has named us Opportunity Torchbearers--OTs! And it is heartening to see how a colleague from a sister discipline get us so deeply.
