This retreat is unapologetically about God, specifically your relationship with God. Regardless of whether you identify as religious, spiritual, or unsure about your beliefs in God, this retreat aims to create a sacred space where you can explore and deepen your unique connection with the divine. We will utilize our yoga practice to facilitate this exploration, after all at the very core of yogic philosophy and understanding is God. Without connecting to a divine agency or intelligence of some kind, me and you will always remain separate. It is our awakening to the presence of God in all things that brings us into wholeness.
During our time together, we will explore our vinyasa practice with unwavering intention on breath and in the quieting of the mind discover that the presence of God has been within us all along. Then we ask ourselves what that means for our lives, how we become living embodiments of prayer, rediscover what it means to have Faith, and live in service to Spirit.
Our days will begin with silent walks and meditation, followed by asana practice, after which we’ll chat about our theme of the day. The next few hours can be spent however best serves you; journaling, in reflection and prayer, exploring the surroundings, getting treatments, surfing, or simply getting some needed rest. In the afternoons, we will meet for a more restorative practice, followed by a contemplative, prayerful, discussion closing of our evening session.
This retreat is accessible to all and is non-denominational. Your personal beliefs, faith, and practices will be honored and respected. The intention is not to change anyone’s existing beliefs, but to cultivate a sacred space where you can deepen your relationship with Spirit and rediscover Your Faith.
