Solari was founded in January 2014 by board-certified music therapist, Martina Chow. She is a graduate of New York University's, Master of Arts programme in Music Therapy, and has extensive hands-on training and experience within the music therapy field. Observing the need for such services in Trinidad and Tobago's burgeoning private

health sector, Ms. Chow created Solari to fulfill the need of Trinibagonians to heal, grow, learn, express themselves aestheically, and to achieve their full human potential. Services
Individual, diad and small group therapy sessions are available to children and adults with various developmental delays, physical disabilities, and mental disorders.

During August Solari will be hosting inclusive workshops for primary school aged students. Everyday from 2pm - 5pm a different instrument will be explored (except Saturday at 10am). Cost is just $150 per workshop. Package deals available.

Community means everything to us at Solari Centre for Music Therapy! So when St. Francois Girls’ College invited us to their Career Day, we were all in—especially since our director is a proud alumna! She shared insights on Music Therapy as a career and gave students a glimpse into the many exciting paths her musical journey has taken.

A couple weeks ago, our director and senior music therapist, Martina Chow-Antoine, brought the power of music therapy to the Ministry of Tourism, Culture & the Arts' health fair! She introduced the team to music therapy and led a fun, uplifting session where staff rewrote a popular Carnival song to celebrate what they are most grateful for. A perfect mix of team building and creative expression!

Hop into piano, our final workshop of the week.

It was a beautiful evening filled with group music making, origami pianos, music note bingo, and so much more.

Indeed a wonderful way to end our academic term.

Earlier this week, we hopped into steelpan with some hot cross buns! What a treat it was to play and learn together.
A fun filled afternoon which included: a story about the steelpan’s history, playing our national instrument, a musical egg hunt, colouring and playdough activities all centered around the steelpan.

Everyone had an ‘egg-citing’ time!

It was a vibe!
All in attendance had a blast at the drum workshop.
From playing djembes to learning about the history and development of drumming, to a musical story on tempo and its associated Italian terms, and learning to play a basic rhythm on the drum set... it was crammed with learning opportunities!

A special thank you to Rene Aleong for donating 1 drumset to help facilitate our workshop!
