In honor of World Poetry Day, I'm sharing one of my poems I wrote a couple years ago, hope this inspires others to take the opportunity to write and share their poems, and celebrate the beauty of poetry


The Contagious Smile
Your Smile of Today can lead to someone else’s smile tomorrow
Even when you go through hell and the smile was one you had to borrow
A curve of life that can spread to the world great joy,
Indeed a simple gesture that can cause happiness to deploy
Don’t be afraid to let it show,
Someone’s life today you can change that you may never know
The smile is a great gift from God to share,
Truly the most beautiful thing anyone can wear
All it takes is one to start the chain of reaction,
To many it’s all required for their fulfillment and satisfaction
Fear not to smile today,
For it can be the link to wash many troubles away
Even though behind it so much you can hide
The power of the smile can be able to bring change to the tide
A world where troubles may surround,
A smile can be the one thing that can turn it around
Regardless of the start of the contagious smile,
Everything about sharing it will always be worthwhile
A Beautiful world created from the start,
Nothing like the effects of a smile from the heart

Eid Mubarak to you and your family. May the blessings of sacrifices made during the holy month of Ramadan bring forth multiple folds of blessings on this day and moving forward. May the lessons learned over the past month be used to increase our blessings. May we see our blessings (the big ones and the small ones, the ones we overlook and the ones we take for granted) and give more gratitude for them all. May we remember humility, peace, love and humanity and share it with those around us to effect a healthier, happier life and world around us 🙏

Attending the Ayurveda and Traditional Medicine in the Caribbean this past weekend.
Thank you to the and the as well as other stakeholders for putting this event together. Thank you to the Ministry of Health for showing up and being part of this event
Grateful for the opportunity to attend and learn from so many doctors and professionals locally and internationally about the importance of the Integration of medicine. It's not about an "Us" vs "Them" model, it's about a "Patient Centered/Evidence based" Approach.
Looking forward to seeing more of an Integrative Health Approach being adopted.

How Cupping Works

Cupping therapy involves placing suction cups on the skin to create negative pressure. This suction pulls the skin and superficial muscle layers upwards into the cup. The vacuum effect expands blood vessels, promoting increased blood flow to the treated area. This enhanced circulation can help to relieve muscle tension, reduce inflammation, and facilitate the removal of metabolic waste products.

Cupping is often used to alleviate pain, improve range of motion, and promote healing in the shoulder region by encouraging the body's natural healing processes. It is important to hydrate shortly after the therapy to allow faster cleansing of metabolites.
