ABC Paediatrics was at the Montrose Government Primary School’s Science Fair yesterday: Inside Out - The Science of You! 🧬

Dr Tricia Jailal and Dr Kevon Dindial discussed the components of blood and how each helps our bodies. The kids learnt about the high sugar content in their drinks, how it affects our blood and how much exercise they need to do to burn off those calories!

❗️ Fun fact: To burn 1g of sugar = ~20 jumping jacks!

Dr Keisha Lindsay Nurse
Speech & Language Therapist

Dr. Keisha Lindsay Nurse has been a practicing Speech and Language Therapist since 2006 and founded The Therapeutic Workshoppe in 2010.

She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from New York University, her Master of Arts degree from the City University of New York - Queens College and her Ph.D. from Howard University.

In addition to her work in Trinidad, Dr. Lindsay Nurse serves the smaller islands of the Caribbean region as a clinician, researcher and capacity builder who aims to build and grow systems and services for people with disabilities across our region. She serves on the Board of the Child Development and Guidance Centre in St. Lucia and is an adjunct professor at New York University. Dr. Lindsay Nurse is proud to be certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is registered to practice both in Trinidad & Tobago and St. Lucia.

Dr. Lindsay Nurse is known for her empathetic and direct care that is centered on family education and holistic intervention.
