We are excited to announce the launch of our workshop dedicated to supporting parents of children who are autistic, visually impaired, or totally blind.

This workshop is designed to provide valuable resources, insights, and a sense of community as we focus on:

• Overcoming the challenges of raising a child with special needs.
• Practical strategies to empower⁸ parents and caregivers, while fostering a strong support network within the special needs community.
• Personal growth and development for parents navigating the unique journey of raising a child with special needs.

Dr Keisha Lindsay Nurse
Speech & Language Therapist

Dr. Keisha Lindsay Nurse has been a practicing Speech and Language Therapist since 2006 and founded The Therapeutic Workshoppe in 2010. 

She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from New York University, her Master of Arts degree from the City University of New York - Queens College and her Ph.D. from Howard University.   

In addition to her work in Trinidad, Dr. Lindsay Nurse serves the smaller islands of the Caribbean region as a clinician, researcher and capacity builder who aims to build and grow systems and services for people with disabilities across our region.  She serves on the Board of the Child Development and Guidance Centre in St. Lucia and is an adjunct professor at New York University.  Dr. Lindsay Nurse is proud to be certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is registered to practice both in Trinidad & Tobago and St. Lucia.

Dr. Lindsay Nurse is known for her empathetic and direct care that is centered on family education and holistic intervention.
