Extractions but make it ART ✨

Always a mix of emotions in the surgery room 🫂
Patients are usually scared or anxious about this procedure.

I’m usually excited to show them it’s NOT as bad as they imagine

Then they’re extremely relieved and don’t hate me when it’s over…quicker than they thought and not painful as anticipated 🥹

I absolutely LOVE what I do guys. I do but I’ve realised there comes a time when any & probably, everyone starts to experience “burn out” or just require a little disruption from the monotony. Also, recently I’ve started to experience some wrist pains/discomfort which really worried me and was actually being forced to take some time off preventively.

I have not had an actual vacation for quite some time! I’ve always struggled with some form of anxiety with taking time off from work especially if it’s not dental related 🙈 BUT I’ve come to accept that in order for me to continue to provide the BEST dental care for you, I need to be good to me as well. So I’m off for the next couple weeks to celebrate my birthday 🥳

Super excited to shut my brain off for a wee bit! Get recharged, let my hands get the rest they need and get back to you all at 200%❣️❣️❣️

I’ve never done a proper introduction to my social media family. So here goes….

My name is Dr. Rossina Richards. I like to think of myself as being honest, hardworking, ambitious, friendly & compassionate that I believe are the qualities which coalesced and results in me being the type of dental practitioner I am today.… However, I know this all sounds lovely & cookie cutter but If I’m really being real, I’m those things in addition to me being a huge goofball. I LOVE to laugh & I’ve been called the “life of the party” one too many times 😏.

My love for Honest, Compassionate & Quality Dentistry runs deep within me. I’m extremely passionate about providing an amazing dental experience, helping with dental anxiety & creating a safe space for ALL of my patients.

Yes, dentistry consumes the majority of my life but when it does not, some of my other joys/hobbies include; skincare, going for walks with music blasting in my ear, dancing, travel, TV series binging & the good ol’ classic; being a foodie.

My educational journey;
⭐️ I was a girl in green & gold, black & whiiiiiite…. College Girls of St. François, we are one ❤️
⭐️ Attained my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2015 from the U.W.I, Mona Campus where I was among the FIRST cohort of students to graduate from the first & new state-of-the-art Dental programme in the Caribbean
⭐️ Advanced accredited courses in Oral Surgery, Invisalign, Restorative & Cosmetic dentistry.

My mission;
💫To mitigate dental fear & anxiety by showing patients dentistry can be fun, relaxing & pain free once you have a gentle, kindhearted & knowledgeable Dentist

💫To keep abreast with the evolution of Dentistry. This permits me to be innovative & equipped to perform the highest standard and quality of care

💫To inform/educate the public about procedures, proper protocol and the dangers, health risks of seeking out & accepting dental treatment from unlicensed, untrained and ungoverned personnel aka QUACKS 🦆

🦷day 😁

Procedure; Surgical extraction of lower impacted wisdom tooth (3rd molar)
Anaesthesia; Local
Time; Under 30mins

Arrow is pointing to the huge cavity formed because of the impaction & failure to remove that wisdom tooth earlier (preventively).
Now this patient is at risk of losing TWO teeth instead of the just wisdom tooth (which btw, is nonfunctional)

Don’t wait till it “troubles you” guys.
