Medical Associates Hospital is a private health institution located in St. Joseph, the first capital city of Trinidad and Tobag This expansion has seen tremendous growth in physical infrastructure with the provision of dedicated areas for Outpatients’ clinics, Laboratories, Cardiac Laboratory, X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI Imaging and an ICU facility. Leading the private hospital care in the Caribbean, we have recorded the first successful private renal transplant and the first successful in vitro fertilization (IVF) pregnancy. Some surgical operations first described in the medical literature were pioneered at MEDICAL ASSOCIATES HOSPITAL. There are four operating rooms – For general as well as microscopic surgeries, laparoscopy, arthroscopy, laser ophthalmic surgery and endoscopy. In 1979, our facility started as a small 12-bedded institution, in a renowned great house, standing on St. Joseph Hill, overlooking the majestic Samaan trees of George Earle Park. Today, our bed capacity is 50+ and this makes us one of the larger private health facilities in the Eastern Caribbean.
